My Success Story:
We were teary eyed as we left Preta in her new home today. We were happy for her but sad that we won't get to see her every day as we have for years. As for Preta, she seemed pretty happy with her new home! She now lives with a retired couple that lives in a super dog-friendly retirement community in Leesburg. She will get several walks a day (which she loves), and will get to visit the neighbors and their dogs on the golf cart as well. The whole neighborhood was awaiting her arrival with bated breath, and Preta made her first neighborhood canine friend on the home visit. Preta will go with mom and dad to spend the summer in their house in Vermont, so she will miss the Florida heat. Because she was an outdoor dog before, we expect this will be a pleasant change for her!! Preta's new mom and dad had already checked into holistic dog foods for her and showed us some great photos of their prior dog asleep on top of dad in the recliner. Needless to say, we expect Preta to be incredibly spoiled. :)
