My Success Story:
It was a long road to recuperation for Bradford. His days of living under a porch had left him under-nourished, flea-ridden and heartworm positive. To see him now, you would never believe that this healthy, playful boy with the beautiful fur coat was the same dog. It was his gentle, sweet nature though that first attracted his new mom. She came out to the shelter to meet a couple of dogs, but it was Bradford that she fell in love with. She and her 3 children have a two year old black lab, Rex, that was in need of a playmate and they felt they needed that second dog to make their family complete. Bradford couldn't agree more. He immediately went from one to the other seeking attention and stil managed to squeeze in time to play with Rex, explore the house and yard and give one of Rex's stuffed toys a good shaking. He thought life was just about perfect until his new sister brought out the peanut butter treats she had baked for him. He knew then that this place wasn't just about perfect, it was perfect! His new mom is installing a fence around a big yard that will give he and Rex lots of room to run and play and still have a great view of the pond behind them to watch the ducks and cranes. Way to go, Bradford! No more porch life for you!
