Lightning

Sunday, October 19th, 2008

I am not sure where he got his name, because Lightning might have been more appropriately named Sweetpea.  He is affectionate, playful, and sweet.  He looks like a mini version of Bogey, so he is surely going to be handsome.  Lightning is an adorable puppy and he needs a home where someone will play with him a lot!  If you are interested in adopting this sweet pea, check out our adoption policies!

Ladybug

Sunday, October 19th, 2008

Ladybug didn’t want her picture taken - as you can see.  She is the sweetest little thing!  She is a small / medium size - maybe 40 pounds.  She’s a little chubby right now and she must have been nursing puppies because her little belly is sagging.  She loves to walk and walks well on a leash, so she will bounce back into good shape, I am certain.  She is affectionate and very sweet.  This girl will surely get adopted quickly, so if you are interested, make your move now and fill out an adoption application online.  It will be a few more weeks before she is ready because she is going through treatment for heartworms.

Cindy

Cindy would not sit still for a photo, but she does know how to sit!  She walks well on a leash and is a very sweet girl!  She has a lot of energy and needs to learn not to jump up.  But I can’t say I discouraged her very much because it felt like she was giving me a hug and who can say no to that?  If you are interested in adopting Cindy, read our adoption policies for more information!

Joshua - a true miracle

Saturday, October 11th, 2008

Joshua’s story is a sad one for sure, but it is sure to have the happiest ending ever.  He is in good spirits despite having to wear some funny-looking post-surgery gear.  I let him follow me around the small indoor area of our shelter today while I did some laundry and dishes.  He is a little shy and skiddish when he hears sudden noises.  He LOVES this gorilla squeaky toy and wanted to play fetch.  I was afraid of letting him run too much because he is limping still, so I would throw the toy about 4 feet and he would go after it nonetheless.  He is very playful, sweet, and affectionate. If you think you can give Joshua the fairytale ending he deserves, fill out an application online so he can live happily ever after.
