Brady Boys at Bathtime

Monday, March 23rd, 2009

These are the oh-co-cute Brady puppies after their bath. Yes, they are in the dryer cage, unhappily trying to show me that they wanted out.  They had their first baths - we had to wait until they were healthy.  These boys have endured pnemonia and kennel cough and daily treatments with a nebulizer!  They didn’t like the baths or the dryer cage.  To show me their displeasure with my forced bathing, they happily pooped in their kennel not 10 minutes after being cleaned and dried.  they proceeded to step in it and spread it around and ended up with poop covered paws after all my hard work!  Guess they showed me who is in charge!

And the award for best kisser goes to …. Gunner

Gunner is a sweet, playful dog.  He is going through heartwork treatment which means he has to remain pretty calm and can’t run around.  He LOVES toys and desperately wants to play tug-o-war and fetch - which I have only guessed because every time I turn around, he tries to give me toy.  He is crate trained, but does not like to be in his crate.  He is quiet once in there, but getting him in there is a struggle.  Try telling this 70 lb guy to “kennel up”  He’s not having it.  I tried to trick him into it by throwing a treat inside and he was too smart to fall for it.  I ended up having to lift his large body and drag him inside.  Poor guy - he just wants to be in a home where he can be around people all the time.  And watch out - if you get your face anywhere near his, he won’t hesitate to give you a good, wet kiss all over the face and lips.
