Adoptable Dogs

MOLLY

Lovable Molly has not had a good life so far. She was confiscated by animal control in a cruelty case. She has scarring on her face and feet that hint at what she’s been through. But Molly also has a big, forgiving heart and is so grateful to be given affection and is always willing to cuddle and give out kisses. Molly is an approximately six year old yellow lab and weighs about 70 lbs. Beautiful Molly deserves nothing but the best for the rest of her life.  She needs to have surgery to remove a couple of troublesome lumps and then will be ready for adoption, so fill out an application soon!

DIXIE

Dixie is a very sweet 7-8 year old chocolate lab. She was living in not the best situation and was rescued from that environment and then turned over to Houndhaven to find a home. Her rescuer said she’s good with adults, children, dogs, cats and is a loyal girl. One of Dixie’s favorite things is her ball–she will fetch endlessly. She’s already spayed and we have brought her up to date on vaccines. The weighs approximately 77 lbs. It’s Dixie’s turn to find a forever home and family that will spoil her and treat her like the precious girl that she is.

MAX

Max is a calm, easygoing guy. He’s an 8-9 year old border collie mix. Max weighs about 35 lbs. and walks really well on a leash. Through no fault of his own, he was given up by his previous owner. Max is affectionate and friendly. He is microchipped and current on vaccines. Max is heartworm positive and treatment will start soon.  He will also be neutered and should be ready for a home by May.

CARRIGAN

Carrigan is a pretty black lab with a sweet little face. She can be just a bit shy at first but in no time her tail starts wagging and she becomes her happy self. Carrigan and Brannigan are mother and son. They were turned in to animal control when their owner passed away. She is eight years old and weighs 74 lbs. Carri will be spayed soon. She has been brought up to date on vaccines. Carri came to us heartworm positive. We will treat her for that (treatment starts in two weeks) so she will be ready to go to a home at the end of April in the best shape to start her new life.

BRANNIGAN

Brannigan is approximately four years old and loves life. He’s a handsome black lab mix that loves everyone and soaks up the affection the volunteers show him. And even though Brannigan weighs 92 lbs., he really thinks he is the size of his head and will try to squeeze his entire body into your lap! He is Carrigan’s son. Their owner died and they were turned in to animal control. Like Carri, he is heartworm positive, but he will undergo treatment for that while he’s with us. The treatment starts in two weeks. He is scheduled to be neutered soon and will be ready for adoption probably by the end of March. He is now microchipped and up to date on vaccines as well. If you have a place in your heart and family for Brannigan, please submit a completed application.

LARRY

Larry, Mo and Curly – affectionately referred to as The Stooges – are the cutest snuggle buddies ever. You smile when you’re around these three brothers. They make you want to pick them up and cuddle with them, and all of us at the shelter have been doing just that. 🙂 They’re seven months old and are a dachshund/yorkie/hound mix. Curly got a fishing hook stuck in his cheek at his previous home and was surrendered to HH so we could get him the medical attention he needed. And of course, Larry and Mo came along with him. (Curly has completely recovered from his little incident.) All three boys are good with children and other dogs. They’re easy to walk on a leash. They each have their own unique look and personality. Larry weighs 17 lbs. and has black speckles. He is the more laid back of the brothers. He’ll sit and observe a situation first before he jumps in. The Stooges have been brought up to date on vaccines and will be neutered prior to going to a home. Please review our policies and submit your application to adopt Larry, Mo or Curly.

TIMBER

Timber has the Houndhaven volunteers all falling in love with him. He’s a regal 19 month old Great Pyrenees with a gorgeous thick fluffy coat. He weighs 90 lbs. Unfortunately, Timber’s owner passed away and he was given up to animal control. Timber will be a loyal companion. We are looking for a home for Timber where he is the only dog in the household or at least where he gets to be the #1 dog in the household. If you have never lived with a Great Pyrenees, it would be helpful to research and read about this unique breed. If you would like to receive Timber’s unconditional love, review our policies and submit an application.

LAWSON

lawson

Precious chocolate lab mix Lawson arrived at Houndhaven with a case of demodex mange that caused him to lose all the hair from his face, chest and legs. We started treating him for this right away and his hair is starting to grow back. He’s a cutie just the way he is though and he’s always ready to cuddle. Lawson is 9 months old and was originally a stray picked up by animal control. He currently weighs 50 lbs. If you are ready to give this boy the tender loving care he should have been getting all along, please submit a completed application.

got an email about Scully…the Golden Retriever #5683034. He isn’t in here and I was curious if he already has been adopted. I am looking for a pure bred Golden….preferably blond…would take a male but already have 2 and a female might be a better fit.
