Sulley

Sulley

Sulley had a polyp removed from his ear a few months ago, and it was growing back - which is unusual. The dermatologist wanted to laser out the regrowth and laser the base more thoroughly to try to prevent regrowth of the polyp. The owners ran into financial difficulty due to mom being in the hospital, so HH Helps is making it possible by contributing to Sulley's vet bill.

Remy

Remy

We have another HH Helps pup! Remy was recently diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma by Dr. Sones at Animal Cancer Care Clinic. He has a relatively good prognosis with chemotherapy and a horrible prognosis without it. He will be going through 16 treatments over the next several months, so you can imagine the cost. Dr. Sones and HH agreed that he was just the kind of dog who should benefit from our...

Max

Max

Max had some NASTY ears, and all his owners' attempts to clean them and treat them were in vain. Thankfully, Dr. Schwassman saw that they needed to be cleaned from the inside out and we were able to make that deep middle ear cleaning possible. These are the before pictures of Max's poor ears--you can see why he desperately needed this treatment! Thanks to our donors, Max is now feeling MUCH...

Ember

Ember

Sweet Ember is the latest beneficiary of Houndhaven Helps. She was brought in with a possible GI obstruction and needed emergency surgery. Her owners were willing to pay all the money they had to try to save her, but it wasn't enough. Because of our donors, we were able to say, "HELP HER!", and they did. Instead of an obstruction, they found a bullet and an abdomen full of blood. If it hadn't...

Mooshi

Mooshi

Mooshi may look tough, but he is a big moosh. Hence the name. He was minding his own business when he was violently attacked by another dog. Mooshi was left with a broken leg, a punctured abdomen and numerous bites and scratches, some requiring stitches. The good news for Mooshi is that a former HH volunteer witnessed the attack and took him to get the veterinary care he urgently needed. And,...

Bubba

Bubba

Meet Bubba. Bubba, being a lab, found himself what he considered a tasty treat. Unfortunately, it was a corn cob. What Bubba didn't know (or maybe forgot in the heat of passion) was that corn cobs don't come out as easily as they went in. We at Houndhaven learned that lesson from a yellow lab named Lex many years ago. Suffice it to say that Bubba's owners were faced with an expensive surgery to...
