Pepper is 7 years old and somehow managed to tear not one but BOTH cranial cruciate ligaments in her knees! Dr. Tano said she is a sweet dog who deserves to have those ligaments repaired, so she offered our help to the owners. They gratefully accepted (describing Pepper as their soul dog), and Pepper already had her first surgery. She is in recuperation mode now and then will be ready for her second surgery.
Pepper’s mom said a fun fact to know about Pepper is that she loves potatoes. Any kind. French fries, mashed, you name it. But, McDonald’s fries make her drool! Of course, she also loves peanut butter and cheese like most dogs, but potatoes are at the top of the list. She said that Pepper is a very active dog who loves to run in the yard, so she is sad about going out only for potty breaks. But the meds are helping to keep her calm. Be a good girl, Pepper and follow Dr. orders. You will feel better soon!
