Hennessy

Hennessy

Hennessy is a six month old rottweiler mix who was adopted from the humane society. She was recently attacked by a stray pitbull, and the emergency vet said she needs surgery. Unfortunately, her owner is a college student with only a parttime job so she cannot afford what is anticipated to be a $6,000 surgery. She is a good pet owner and has kept Hennessy up to date on her vaccines and on...

Chewie

Chewie

Chewie's life was going along pretty well until he tore a cranial cruciate ligament. Surgery to repair it was $6,500 and, although his family had pet insurance, the amount the insurance would pay was far less than the total. Thanks to our donors, we were able to step up to help them get the surgery for sweet Chewie. With a face like his, how could we possibly say no??? Chewie promises to be a...

Bentley

Bentley

Bentley is a beagle who came to Senior Hounds Abound rescue with seizures. One of our former volunteer families agreed to foster him for them, so he is living a great life except for the seizures and some significant anxiety issues. He has been to see trainer extraordinaire Todd Langston to work through the anxiety issues, and that is improving. His veterinarian has put him on seizure medicine...

Snickers

Snickers

Snickers had her surgery to remove mammary tumors on 5/28 and did well. Dr. Ruddle, her great surgeon at Animal Cancer Care Clinic is shown on the right beside Snickers and one of her wonderful vet techs. Dr. Ruddle found even more tumors when she got into surgery, so we are very glad Snickers had surgery when she did. We are still waiting to hear whether further treatment will be necessary.

Fluffy

Sweet little Fluffy presented at the Veterinary Dermatology Center with some pretty bad allergies. But it was nothing that these experienced dermatologists, with the help of a blow up collar, some special food and the right medicines, couldn't handle! Fluffy should be feeling better already, and we are honored to be part of her journey to healthy skin and ears. Thank you to our donors for making...

Lilly

Lilly is an 8 year old lab who was brought to Dr. Peck to determine the cause of her lameness. He did an MRI and has determined her problem is that she needs a TPLO surgery to repair a torn cruciate ligament. Lilly's owners have already paid $4,000 for the MRI and are now facing a $5,200-5,900 surgery. Dr. Peck asked if HH Helps could donate $1,500 so that sweet Lilly could get the needed...

Hunter D.

One of our HH alums is our most recent HH Helps case. Hunter has now reached that senior age where they are especially precious but expensive. His mom has been spending more than $1,200 a month on just his vet care and has spent through her savings. She reached out to HH to see if we could help, and thanks to our donors, we were able to say yes. She said he is still happy and full of love, so...

Teddy Bear

Teddy Bear

Teddy Bear came to HH with heartworms at the age of 14 about three years ago.  A couple of our big hearted volunteers took him in as a foster and ended up keeping him.  When he developed bone cancer last fall, they asked HH to help with a consult and testing at Animal Cancer Care Clinic, which we did.  Unfortunately, the diagnosis was not a good one, so they decided to just let him live out...

Sapper

Sapper

This is a yorkiepoo named Sapper who we helped last Sept. Dr. Tano chose him for Houndhaven Helps when he somehow got a fractured femur. The surgery was a success, but when we checked with the owners to see how he was doing they asked us to try to find him a home. They now have five kids under the age of 5 (just had twins), and just didn't have the funds to give him the care he needs. Polka Dogz...
