We helped Ruby get melanoma vaccines to prevent her cancer from progressing further, or at the very least, to slow it down. Her mom tells her story best:
I’m the owner of this beautiful, precious sweet soul that I’ve had the honor of caring for for the last 10 years. I rescued her when she was 3 1/2 yo & my life has never been the same since. Ruby has been bringing joy to my life since the day I got her and everyone around her. My son has grown up with her since he was born. She has been so loyal to us and I only want to keep her around for as long as I can. We recently found out that she was diagnosed with a malignant melanoma (Cancer – Stage 3) that is affecting her mouth and has spread to her lymph node creating a large mass on her neck & painful sore inside her mouth. Thankfully, it doesn’t seem to have spread to her lungs at this point. I would like to prevent this from happening however I can. She received her surgery on July 9th to remove the tumors and received two melanoma vaccines so far. Unfortunately, we’re not able to afford this expense at the moment and I would give anything to prolong her life to be here with us for hopefully a couple more years if possible. I am so appreciative of the help you have given us thus far. My life is not complete without my baby girl. Thank you again!! Ruby has been doing so well after her surgery and I’m so happy it was a success. She seems to be feeling well and I’m so glad I was able to get this treatment done thanks to the Animal Cancer Clinic and to your organization. You’re an angel!!!
