Zena was vomiting, refusing to eat and feeling very lethargic. Her parents didn’t know what could be wrong so they took her to the Veterinary Emergency Clinic. Thankfully, they knew what was wrong after doing some testing–she had Addison’s Disease and was in crisis. To get her better, she needed several days in hospital, and that was more than her sad parents could afford. When Houndhaven Helps’ assistance was offered to them, they gratefully accepted and the folks at VEC started trying to save Zena’s life. With much gratitude we are delighted to report that Zena made it and is now feeling much better! Her parents now know about Addison’s Disease and how to manage it.
