Gabi has a new dad and a new home! Her new dad was looking for a new companion after losing his beloved lab a few months ago and was drawn to Gabi’s sweet face. He drove over from Merritt Island to meet her and then came back again a few days later to start the bonding process. It worked because she was already snuggling up to him at the home visit, and you could tell love was in the air! Dad welcomed her with balloons (which were a little scary) and a huge Welcome Home sign, as well as toys and a super soft bed. Dad is an offshore fisherman, so when he’s out working, his friend who lives upstairs will come walk Gabi. We are hoping that eventually Gabi will warm up to her rescue dog so they can play together, but it isn’t a requirement. Gabi nka Abby will have dad all to herself which is exactly what she wanted.
