Molly

Being a self-respecting lab, Molly, when a guest moved some tubes of contractor glue to the floor, decided that she should taste it. Apparently contractor glue tastes pretty good to a one year old black lab because she consumed quite a lot of it.  Needless to say, Molly became very sick as the glue solidified around her mouth and in her stomach. Her owners rushed her to VEC, but funds were tight, and without the discount from VEC and the contribution from Houndhaven, they could not have afforded the surgery and she would have had to be euthanized. We are so grateful that didn’t happen! Molly is home now with her labrador sister (who is smart enough not to do these things) and parents and is doing very well. Everyone has lectured Molly about having a more discriminating palate in the future, but we aren’t sure she is listening. No matter, her parents will be on high alert after this experience!
