Willow is only a few months old, but her vet found that she had a heart murmur.  Willow needed an echocardiogram so the cardiologist could assess the severity of the murmur and determine if medicines were needed.  Willow’s mom had purposely adopted a young dog, thinking that she would have time to recover financially from two senior dogs who recently passed away, but such was not the case.  The rescue that adopted Willow wouldn’t help her pay for the echocardiogram, so Houndhaven Helps stepped in to fill the void.  Thankfully, the test showed that the murmur is fairly mild right now and no medicines are needed.  She will need ongoing echocardiograms to monitor her progress, but mom says she will somehow manage those so that Willow will have the best care available.
